The 2 Storey extension is quite unique in its design as its was located within a high walled garden to the rear of the existing dwelling causing minimal visual impact on the existing dwelling when viewed from Rathfarnham Road. The new Build is connected via a single storey glazed link to the rear of the existing lodge house. Specialist techniques were applied in the restoration and conservation of the original house. The new accommodation provides family living and bedroom areas whilst the original structure house provides for an open plan kitchen / dining and small living area. The project benefited from the use of Sustainable materials and technologies resulting in a very low energy home with an A3 BER. The Garden was designed by Kevin Fitzpatrick Landscape Architect to externally compliment the completed residence.
