McLoughlin Architecture was engaged as Architects/ Interior Designers and project leader for the refurbishment of the 1960’s Administration Building. This project was carried out on a phased basis on a live Campus and included a full strip out and reinstating of all Mechanical and Electrical Services, replacement windows and doors, roof replacement and full fire and accessibility upgrade. The functions to be catered for within the design brief were Administration, Nursing Management, Mental Health Offices, Staff residents, Lecture Hall & Meeting Rooms and a full refurbishment of the Staff Canteen. All necessary statutory applications for Planning Permission, Disability Access Certificate (DAC) and Fire Safety Certificate (FSC) were also prepared, submitted and approved in a timely manner.
